You need to place your knees on the floor in front of the machine. The cable will have a rope handle attached to it. Get hold of the rope and pull it down, focus on using your core muscles to take the strain. Ensure that your keep your stomach tight all throughout the movement. Your abs will feel the burn using this method. This exercise is performed by bodbuilders for their abs routines, so clearly it is very effective.

Another great exercise that will allow you to get abs fast is the plank. This is a great ab exercise that is very easy to do. All you do is get into a push up position and instead of staying on your hands you ease yourself down onto your forearms. You then time yourself and see how long you can manage to keep this position. For the first 20 or 30 seconds you will think that this is too easy, but believe me when I tell you that in a few minutes you will be shaking like a jelly.

Keep in mind that you can carry on performing stomach workouts until the cows come home, but your abs will not be visible unless a reduction in waist fat is achieved. This will only happen if you cut back on calories.
